Simple Pressure Vessels CE Certificate

2014/29/EU (SPV) Regulation on Simple Pressure Vessels that can be mass produced, designed to contain air or nitrogen, not intended to come into contact with fire, exposed to internal pressure higher than 0.5 bar, welded, made of steel or aluminum and Maximum working pressure includes containers with a volume of the container not exceeding 10,000 bar liters

 

The simple pressure vessel shall have pressure-resistant parts made of non-alloy steel, unalloyed aluminum or non-aging hardened aluminum alloys. The maximum working pressure of the container should not exceed 30 bar.

Exceptional Circumstances Not Covered by the 2014/29/EU Simple Pressure Vessels Regulation

  • Simple pressure vessels designed for nuclear purposes, which in the event of failure can cause radioactive emission

  • Simple pressure vessels used for operating ships and aircraft

  • fire extinguishers

Simple Pressure Vessels CE Certification Categories

 

The Simple Pressure Vessels Regulation 2014/29/EU covers the basic requirements as in other regulations, but does not provide specific information on design, material, production and testing. These questions can be answered by applying accepted national laws and standards.

 

Vessels with a Pressure x Volume greater than 50 bar/litre must meet the essential safety requirements in Annex I to the Simple Pressure Vessels Regulation and must be subjected to conformity assessment by the notified body.

 

2014/29/EU Simple Pressure Vessels Regulation It is divided into classes according to the result obtained by multiplying the pressure and volume values. The provisions in each category differ. Multiplication of Pressure and Volume values;

 

 

Containers less than 50 bar x liters -  Out of Scope

Containers between 3000 bar x liter - 10000 bar X liters  -  C1

​200 bar x liter - 3000 bar x liter containers -  C1 or C2

Containers from 50 bar x liter to 200 bar x liter -  C1 or C
