What is UL Certificate?

It is an independent organization that evaluates product tests that write Product Safety standards together with UL Quality Management Systems. It consists of the initials of the words “Underwriters Laboratories”. UL Headquarters is in Chicago, USA. The organization, which published its first standard in 1905, has published many standards until today.

UL Certification Stages

 

· Regulations and standards covering the product are determined.

· Test procedures related to the product are prepared.

· Test instruments are provided for the tests to be carried out at the production site.

· UL Standard procedures are added to the quality management system documents

· Factory Production Control is integrated into the existing system.

· The technical file is prepared according to the relevant requirements.

· Labels to be used on the product are prepared.

· If the product is small in size, it is sent to the UL laboratory, if not, it is tested on site.

· If the product tests are successful, a factory visit and Factory Production Control are carried out.

· If the whole process is completed properly, the company is entitled to receive a UL Certificate for its product.
